Shows

Sat. Feb. 12, Staggering Siren Productions, together with Spinster Playtime Productions, proudly present -- The second annual Bloody Valentine Bash, your anti-Hallmark destination!

Featuring a night of all female fronted acts, including rock & roll ruminations from Ramona the Pest, infectious garage punk from She Mob, the ever seductive sounds of Nellie Bly, and specials guests: solo siren Jen Scaffidi from Reno plus local multi-talented, multi-faceted Tara Linda & friends.

Ramona the Pest will play its first full band show in nearly a year. With Jon Luini on bass, Peter Libby on drums, dynamite Dan Olmsted onboard to weave some wicked guitar lines with Lucio and Val just singing her heart out, RTP promises to deliver a smoldering set that both you and they will enjoy. With RTP shows of late being few and far between, this is reason alone to be there! Don't miss it!

But that's just the icing on the cake, for you'll also be treated to the always inspiring Nellie Bly, all the way from Los Angeles, delivering their spooky and biting tales. "...avenging angel music for the jilted lover or the wronged artiste."

She Mob shows of late are also few & far between, so this makes one more reason to spend the whole evening at the Starry Plough, to catch their totally entertaining, completely rocking and utterly addictive sounds.

With shorter sets by solo acoustic siren Jen Scaffidi and etheral soundscapes from Tara Linda & friends, you'll get your 10 bucks and then some, and it's all sure to take you far away from Hallmark.

Saturday Feb. 12 - The Starry Plough - 3101 Shattuck, Berkeley - 510-841-2082. Admission is $10, 21 + over. Jen Scaffidi starts the show at 9:30 pm, followed by She Mob, Tara Linda, Nellie Bly, & Ramona the Pest.
